I am Jessica Driver and welcome to Nonstop Naturalist, where my love for nature and wildlife is shared with others. I am a lifelong Virginia resident and have always had an appreciation for the natural beauty of the state. As a child, I spent most of my time outdoors, exploring the small wonders of our garden in Norfolk picking berries, trying to make perfume from flowers, and mapping the hurricanes and storms that passed by. Now, as an adult, I continue to be enamored with the world around us. I've had the opportunity to work as a zookeeper and animal refuge caretaker, and have spent the last 12 years as an agricultural inspector for the state of Virginia.

I currently volunteer with Camp Selah, Dan River Basin Association, and the Box Turtle Sanctuary of Central Virginia. I am a certified Virginia Master Naturalist and Virginia Master Gardener as well as a trainer/facilitator for Project Wild, Project Learning Tree, and Virginia Save Our Streams.

I have a variety of pets including dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, a leopard gecko, a snake, a frog and always some kind of insect colony or two. My connection with nature has only deepened over the years and I aim to inspire others to experience its magic as well.
